The mission of Care Corps is to recruit, train and mobilize teams to work with the local and national care givers to help facilitate conducting therapy, leading group sessions, developing support groups and training local leaders for their ongoing care-giving mission.
The need for trauma care training in our world is overwhelming. Around the globe millions of people are suffering. Wherever there is disease, war, natural disaster, and violence at home or in the community, children and adults are victims of trauma.
Care Corps is a resource mission responding to Jesus’ command given in the story to the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25-37) answering the question “Who is my neighbor?” . . . and the answer was “the one who showed compassion . . . then Jesus said . . . Go and Do It.” This ministry of healing includes Presence, Practice, and Proclamation.
We are very proud of the team that has assembled to fulfill our mission under the leadership of Dr. James Witty.
Care Corps International was founded by Dr. James Witty in 1996 in response to the lack of a substantial crisis-care resource for the victims of war in the former Yugoslavia.
In 20 years of ministry Care Corps has been in 25 countries. Learn more about where we've been here.
By implementing strategically designed cooperative programs, Care Corps International strives to provide healing and reconciliation at the local, community-based level. These values guide our plan and purpose.
